VACANCY: OP SHOP MANAGER

Labrador Op Shop | Gold Coast North Parish

Gold Coast North Anglican Parish is looking for a friendly, dependable and well-organised person to manage the daily operations of the Labrador Op Shop. This is a part-time position of 12 hours a week, worked across three or four days. You will lead a team of volunteers, look after stock and help grow sales for the benefit of the parish and the wider community.

About the Role

Working in cooperation with the Op Shop Management Committee, you will manage and take responsibility for the daily running of the shop, train volunteers, manage stock movements and grow the sales of the business.

Key Responsibilities

•     Recruit, mentor and roster volunteers, and work with them to maintain best practice every day

•     Coordinate donations, stock on hand and the disposal of unwanted items

•     Ensure merchandise is of an appropriate standard, and arrange store signage

•     Oversee opening and closing procedures, money handling and daily banking

•     Report safety and maintenance issues to the Op Shop Management Committee

•     Assist in the shop when required, work safely and comply with WHS instructions

•     Work in line with the values and ethos of the Anglican Church, its Code of Conduct and ACSQ policies

About You

Essential

•     Demonstrated experience in a similar role

•     Experience leading, managing and rostering staff or volunteers

•     A keen eye for visual merchandising and styling

•     Physical fitness for the role, including bending, lifting, pushing and standing for long periods

•     Well-presented and dependable, with an outgoing, friendly manner; honesty and confidentiality are key

Desirable: current driver's licence

Mandatory: National Police Check and verification of Australian work rights
